History

History

Sytec Corporation was founded in 1997 by its present owners for the purpose of engaging in the trade of all kinds of electrical and electronic products. It initially bought and sold several electrical and electronic products, including integrated circuit chips and optical lenses used for laser and compact disc players. Early brands include Pioneer, Sony, Omron and SGS Thomson. Later, Sytec Corporation managed to become the exclusive distributor of Mospec Power Transistors, popularly known for manufacturing transformers and amplifiers. It also became the exclusive distributor of Lynnks General Purpose Relays, mainly used for UPS and AVR components. By early 1999, Sytec Corporation shifted its pace and started dealing in Belden and Times Fiber Communications (TFC) brand cables and wires, of which both are manufactured and sourced from the U.S.A. In the middle of 2003, Sytec Corporation was awarded as an official authorized direct distributor of Belden Wires, Cables and Fiber Optics by Belden International (Singapore) Incorporated and Belden Wire and Cable Company, U.S.A. It now carries a wide range of Belden cables and wires products and can also serve indent orders for special requirements of customers.
